Among the data that this document edited by Value-it team includes I would like to highlight the data about pilot implementations.

The main conclusions are:

• USA is in front of the classification
• Still public sector is the “big client”, if we add up defense, public sector and healthcare, the results account for almost of half of the pilot (46%)

• Information access, followed by knowledge management are the most demanded applications.

• Search is the technology more used when implementing STE pilots. Other outstanding applications are Modelling and Data integration.

I must say that though we offer quantitative figures, the reader must take them with a little of precaution as is the result of a sample of 100 companies we have in our database and we have not follow a meticulous methodology to ensure the statistical validation.

Nevertheless, I think that is a very interesting approximation about the present photo of STE providers.
